Reduce your warranty costs
By Keith Barrett
The reality is that too few consumers give real consideration to car warranty costs. That's not to say that people don't care when warranty costs are high, but it is to suggest that many consumers do little to change the situation.
Why is this the case? There are plenty of other sectors where we, as customers, do everything that we can to get a cheaper deal. Why should it be that we pay so little attention to warranties?
There are a number of important factors here, all of which have an impact. The first one is undoubtedly our own lack of knowledge of prices and alternatives.
If we don't know how much alternative policies are being sold for then we cant possibly be in the best position to make a judgment on whether the deal that were being offered is really a good one.
The second major factor actually contributes to this. Since we see warranties as being a pretty boring subject, were often unwilling to spend time finding out more about them. This leaves us lacking in knowledge.
Is there an easy way to find a solution? The internet may well provide an answer. Some industry analysts suggests that buying car warranty online could save you up to 40%, when compared with purchasing from a car dealership or similar vehicle retailer.
This is a key advantage that the internet offers. Another is the high degree of transparency. This transparency means that we can quickly compare prices on a wide range of warranty options, allowing us to identify the best deals in a matter of minutes.
With so much knowledge now available, there's no excuse for us not to get a better deal. If you're already thinking that you're paying too much then take the next step and start looking at reducing the price that you're paying.
